Responsibility for Processing
As controller, the operator of vegasspin.cz is responsible for the personal data processed on this website. All data protection matters, from a general question to a formal request under the GDPR, are handled through one address: [email protected].
What Information We Hold About You
What is processed during ordinary browsing?
Technical data (IP address, device type, browser, operating system, time of access and URLs of opened pages), used for running, securing and analysing vegasspin.cz, and the cookies described in the Cookies section.
What is processed when you write to us?
The content of an email sent to [email protected], i.e. your address, the text of the message and any signature.
What is not processed?
Data of Chance Vegas players, or data on gambling, identity verification or payment transactions. Processing stays within the extent that the purposes above require.
Legal Basis and Retention Periods
Processing is carried out under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data, and § 89 of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on electronic communications. How long we keep data, and why:
- Up to 6 months, or for as long as the enquiry is being handled: data from email correspondence, processed on the basis of performance of a contract or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
- Up to 12 months, or according to technical capabilities: data needed to operate and secure the website, on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Until consent is withdrawn, or as set in the browser: analytical and marketing cookies, which are stored only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Sharing Data with Service Providers
We name the specific providers the website works with only when they are publicly identifiable directly on the website. In general, there are two categories. The first consists of hosting and CDN providers, responsible for the website running, being available and staying secure. The second consists of web analytics providers; from traffic data they compile statistics that are used to optimise the website. Beyond these purposes, namely operation and analytics, personal data are not made accessible, and neither unverified entities nor third parties without a legal basis receive them.
When Data Leave the EU/EEA
A transfer to a third country occurs when both of the following apply:
- an analytics tool is used, and
- its provider is based outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
In that situation the transfer is governed by standard contractual clauses within the meaning of Art. 46 GDPR, which ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data. If we use no service outside the EU/EEA, data are not transferred to third countries.
Data Subject Rights in Practice
Under the GDPR and Act No. 110/2019 Coll., you can rely on the following rights in different situations:
- Want to know which data we process about you? You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR).
- Are your data wrong? Use the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR).
- Would you like the data to disappear? Under the conditions of Art. 17 GDPR, you have the right to erasure, also called the “right to be forgotten”.
- Want to limit processing? That is what the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) is for.
- Need to move your data elsewhere? The right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) applies to automated processing based on consent or a contract.
- Disagree with processing based on legitimate interest? Raise an objection (Art. 21 GDPR).
- Changed your mind about consent? You can withdraw it; this does not make processing before the withdrawal unlawful.
Exercising Rights by Email
Where should the request go?
To the email address [email protected].
How quickly will you get an answer?
Without undue delay, and no later than 30 days after the request reaches us. For complex requests, or when there are more of them, the controller may extend the period by a further two months and will tell you so.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you consider that the processing of your personal data has breached the law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, ÚOOÚ), based at Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7. Further information is available at www.uoou.cz.
Protecting Data Against Misuse
The security of personal data rests on a combination of technical and organisational measures whose level matches the current state of the art and which prevent unauthorised access to the data. Data travel between your device and the server in encrypted form via HTTPS/TLS. In addition, the controller regularly checks whether security is set up correctly and, where necessary, takes further measures against misuse of the data.
Overview of Cookies and Storage
What is a cookie?
A tiny text file that a website saves on your device. It serves the proper functioning of the website, traffic analysis and sometimes the personalisation of content or ads.
Which types of cookies are there?
Essential cookies keep the basic functions of the website running; without them it might not work properly. They may be used without consent under § 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. Analytical cookies (anonymised statistics on website use) and marketing cookies (personalised advertising, tracking of behaviour across websites) are stored by the website only with your consent.
Where is your consent stored?
In the browser's local storage under the name ck-consent, not in a cookie. How long it stays there depends on your browser settings.
What does Google Analytics do until you agree?
It runs in Consent Mode with analytics storage set to “denied”. Storage is only enabled once you accept.
How can you manage cookies?
- Firefox: Options, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data;
- Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions, Cookies and site data;
- Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data;
- Safari: Preferences, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
Your browser's help also explains how to block cookies.
Announcing Changes
The controller will publish information about every significant change to this policy on the website. Such a change may result from an amendment to legislation or from a different method of processing personal data. It is good to keep an eye on the current form of the policy.
